The Structures Section (TEC-MSS) is the focal point within the Agency for spacecraft and launcher structural design and verification; development of special purpose structures, spacecraft and launcher lightweight structures, the application of advanced structural materials, stable structures , structural dynamics, damage tolerance, deployable structures/booms, launcher and re-entry hot and cold structures, landing attenuation systems, mechanical analysis tools and methodologies, novel techniques for active structures, passive and active loads and noise attenuation, spacecraft configuration tools, and mechanical aspects of meteoroids & debris impact shielding systems.
