Activities
On 28 February 1994 a half-day Workshop on 'Europe/Russia Relations in the Space Field' was held at the Fondation Universitaire de l'Université Libre de Bruxelles. The main presentation was given by Prof. G. Avanesov of the Space Research Institute in Moscow (IKI) who briefed the participants on the structure, resources and prospects of the Russian Space Programme. Other presentations were given by Dr. Beer of ESA (ESA's Study Programme with Russian Industry and Prospects), by Mr. Chaplin of the EU-Commission, DG XIII (Satellite Communications Links and Prospects), and by Mr. Guiltat of the EU-Commission, DG I (Trade Issues especially in the Launch Services Field). Participants from the EU-Commission, industry, legal practice and the consultancy field attended this very fruitful workshop, which was led by Prof. Sybesma-Knol for the academic sector and Dr. K. Madders for the practitioner sector.

Occasional half-day workshops will be organised in the future.
