ESA has set up a Technology Transfer Programme
to stimulate the wider use of space-developed technologies
within the Europe and Canada.The objective of this
programme is to promote the transfer of inovative
technology from the space sector to the non-space sectors.
Today many successful transfers have been achieved,
generating millions of Euros of turnover in the space and
the non-space sectors. The economic return is high and one
of the main ambitions of this ESA programme is to
increase the economic benefits on Earth.
Spin-Off Successes (ESA BR-152), specially
issued for the Le Bourget Air Show, is a compilation of
30 successes highlighting real transfer in our day-to-day life.
