ESA’s first Global Space Economic Forum was held at ESA's ESTEC technology centre in Noordwijk, the Netherlands on 10 October 2018.
During this panel discussion, Mark Boggett, CEO, Seraphim Capital, Magali Vaissiere, ESA Director of Telecommunications and Integrated Applications and Josef Aschbacher, ESA Director of Earth Observation discussed how to expand space activities into new communities, exploring and developing new downstream markets, developing new business models for space activities via public–private partnerships and other setups, cross-cutting initiatives (such as regional initiatives in the Arctic), and potential partnerships with non-space actors.
