Quantum Computing

We give an introduction to quantum computing with a focus on potential applications: what computational problems could a large quantum computer solve faster, safer, or otherwise better than our current classical computers? We will mostly look at the impact in the areas of cryptography and opimization, and also briefly look at known limitations of quantum computers.
