Alexandre Feller

I am a Research Fellow in Fundamental Physics. My main interests range from Quantum Physics to General Relativity. More precisely, I work at the interplay between these two theoretical frameworks to have (one day maybe) a better understanding of a unified point of view of fundamental physics. Questions about the foundations of those two theories, how the classical world emerges or which mathematical tools to use occupy most of my brain time.

My background is in theoretical physics. I did my PhD in Loop Quantum Gravity (LQG) and Quantum Information at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, under the supervision of Etera Livine. The main story behind this work is to use techniques from quantum information theory, decoherence theory and condensed matter theory to have new ways to look at the quantum structure of spacetime predicted by LQG and the quantum to classical transition that must take place to recover classical general relativity at low energy scale.
