Would you like to see your own space artwork on the ESA Kids site? Here's your chance! Every month ESA Kids is looking at a different theme in more detail. Themes include everything from orbits and planets to astronauts and asteroids.

Why send robots into space and not humans? Robots can go places we can't: cold places, hot places, dangerous places - robots are up to the challenge! They can explore planets, take pictures, measure temperature, collect rocks and soil samples with drills and much more!
Robots can also act as astronauts' helpers, assisting them with various tasks in space, such as inside or outside the International Space Station! On the ISS, the European Robotic Arm helps astronauts with tasks outside the station. It is very similar to a human arm, with an elbow, shoulders and even wrists. It is equipped with cameras and can move the astronauts around during a spacewalk.
