Industrial partners will set their sights high during the ‘Deep Space Gateway and Lunar Exploration Industry Days’, a B2B event taking place on 18–19 September 2017 at ESTEC in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.

The two-day meeting will engage European industry in the next human exploration challenges beyond low-Earth orbit. The agenda will explore the scenario, the opportunities and potential business cases of a new international roadmap with the Moon as a main stopover.

The lunar vicinity is an efficient hub to reach multiple destinations, and a true deep space environment. This location is an ideal staging post for missions to the lunar surface, into deep space and ultimately to Mars.

Into the deep

ESA experts will introduce the Deep Space Gateway. This strategic platform will be assembled in the vicinity of the Moon and enable extended astronaut missions further into space than ever before.

The Deep Space Gateway is a great testing ground for the technological challenges of long-duration human missions. The International Space Station partners are leading the initiative.

It will enable innovative robotic and human lunar surface missions. The meeting will discuss in detail one of these mission concepts, the Human-Enabled Robotic Architecture and Capability for Lunar Exploration and Science (Heracles).

Join the trip

The industry days are a unique opportunity to learn about the latest plans for lunar exploration, speak to engineers and scientists and engage with international partners.

Industry and academia representatives will have the floor to pitch their innovative proposals.
