ESA hosts the Ecsite Space Group Annual Meeting 2019
The Ecsite Space Group’s Annual Meeting 2019 will be hosted at ESA ESRIN in Frascati, Italy on 27 and 28 of January 2020.
The Space Group, with more than 190 members and the support of ESA, aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas and projects to better share the European achievements in space with the general public.
The Space Group is led by three co-chairs: Marc Moutin, Director of Exhibitions at Cité de l’espace, Toulouse, France; Ana Noronha, Executive Director of Ciência Viva, Lisbon, Portugal; and Maria Menendez, Head of ESA Corporate Exhibitions and Strategic Events.
During the meeting participants will continue to work on the theme ‘Climate change: monitoring the atmosphere and oceans from space’.
The Group will have the opportunity to visit the Φ Experience, a facility that uses interactive display technologies to increase awareness and visibility of ESA’s Earth observation programmes and applications. The experience will help visitors to improve their understanding of the benefits of Earth Observation for monitoring global change and the environmental from space.
The two-day workshop will continue with:
- The latest news and resources from ESA
- Updates from the ESA Education Office
- News from the Italian Space Agency (ASI) and Italian organisations
- Roundtable and showcase of space projects with all participants
