    History: ESTEC, Noordwijk, 1966

ESTEC 1966: An aerial view of the construction of ESA's European Space Technology and Research Centre (ESTEC), looking south from the dune side, in 1966. In the foreground, the F block and parts of E block are almost complete, and behind, another part of E block is being built. The route of the perimeter road and central main corridor are clearly visible. ESTEC was opened on 3 April 1968, by HRH Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands.
