The project
The team develops a star tracker which is part of the ESMO AOCS. Its functional objective is to obtain attitude information by imaging and analyzing the star-field. The instrument shall use an included camera to take a picture of the star-field, then process the image before comparing it to an embedded star catalogue, which will enable it to determine the attitude of the satellite.
