    Body monitors

    Measuring blood pressure
ESA astronaut Roberto Vittori measures his blood pressure on ISS

Monitoring astronaut’s vital body stats like heart rate, oxygen intake and respiration presents a huge array of prospects for equipment technology development.

Smaller, more compact and of course lightweight equipment needs to be produced in order to gauge the health of humans living in space. These sorts of advancements are more than likely to find their way back down to markets especially those supporting elderly and chronic patients in their homes.
