    Questions and answers

    28 June 2004

Have you ever wondered how fast an Ariane-5 launcher travels or why its main cryogenic stage is sometimes referred to as the EPC? Some of your questions can now be answered with the help of three new features on this site.

    Glossary

Maybe there are some terms used on the launchers site that you do not fully understand? If so, look in the glossary for an explanation. As Europe’s Spaceport is located in French Guiana, some acronyms used for buildings or for parts of a launcher refer to the French name. By looking in the glossary now you can find the French name in full together with its English equivalent.

    FAQ

This new section contains the answers to some of the questions that we are frequently asked about launchers and Europe’s Spaceport. Here you can find information of interest and hopefully, the anser to your question.

    Comments

If you have a comment about the site or if you cannot find the answer to your question in the FAQs then you can send it to us via the Comments section. We regret that we cannot answer all queries but if we receive many requests asking the same question then we will add it to the FAQs.

We value feedback on the ESA Portal so why not take a few minutes to fill in an online survey designed to help us to keep on improving our service to you. So, tell us what you think.
