Nic Mardle is the Spacecraft Operations Manager (SOM) for CryoSat-2, and is responsible for ensuring that the satellite is properly controlled and for managing the Flight Control Team. She served as SOM for the first CryoSat and is looking forward to the satisfaction of seeing it finally in orbit.
