Proba-3, to be launched in the 2015 timeframe, will demonstrate close formation flying. Proba-V, to be launched in 2013, will carry a multispectral Earth observing instrument to provide enhanced data continuity to the vegetation sensor carried by France's SPOT-4 and SPOT-5.
