Space and aviation authorities meet
Brussels is the venue for the next European Air and Space Conference (EASC) scheduled for 28/29 May. Present at the conference will be representatives of major European space agencies, civil aviation authorities, airlines and the aerospace industry.
On the opening day the subjects under discussion will include market trends in civil aviation, airline and EU policies, safety and security challenges, research and development, and European space policy. On the second day delegates will be able to choose between meetings on civil aviation, research and technology, and space.
The meetings on space will be chaired either by representative of the European Commission or the European Parliament and ESA will be represented on the various panels. The subjects to be discussed include space telecommunications, navigation, access to space, Earth observation and the GMES initiative.
