Competitive space for Europe through technology and innovation

    26 July 2011

This year’s ESA Technology Innovation Days, on 22–23 November at ESTEC, will showcase technology developments supported through Agency programmes across the previous 12 months.

They will also offer the chance for in-depth discussions of the topics shaping the space technology community.

This year the Days will also include results from ESA's Networking Partnering Initiative and the Innovation Triangle Initiative, intended to encourage technology development in novel ways.

The event will also provide a platform for the space community to reflect on itself. This year the motto of the Days will be Technology for competitiveness in space and of space.

As last year, there will be a panel discussion on the central questions of competitiveness and innovation:

What is expected of technology for competitiveness?

    • How can technology make space a competitive instrument to address Earth challenges?
    • How can technology for space innovate to foster leaps forward in science?
    • How does technology for space contribute to industrial competitiveness?
    • What should be a priority?

Registration for the event will open in September for all those interested in attending.
