    Press Conference Proba-2

    Proba-2 satellite
    25 June 2009

    Verhaert Design & Development together with ESA cordially invite to a press conference celebrating the successful development and planned shipment of the Proba-2 satellite.

    Proba-2 is the second in the series of small Proba satellites, built by Verhaert Design & Development and supported by the Belgian Federal Science Policy Office. It is being used to serve as a test bed for new technology. It is also equipped with a quartet of science instruments focused on solar and space weather observations. The ESA satellite will be launched from Plesetsk, a Russian launch base, November 2nd together with ESA's Earth Explorer mission SMOS.

    The press event will take place on Wednesday July 1st 2009 at 15:00 h in the Verhaert building in Kruibeke, Belgium.

    Media will have the opportunity to view the small Proba-2 satellite.
