    User segment

    The Proba-V user segment, responsible for the processing of the Vegetation instrument data and for the distribution of the resulting information products to users worldwide, is under the Primeship of VITO (Belgium).

    Proba-V satellite

    The user segment development is a complete new development started at the same time as the flight segment. It will be hosted in Mol (Belgium) where the present SPOT/Vegetation data processing and distribution facility is located.

    From 2012 the Proba-V user segment will take over the distribution of the SPOT/Vegetation products.
