    2 February 2010

    Nominate a technology now!

For the second time, ESA’s Space Spin-Off Award will be given to individuals or an organisation that have carried out a space technology transfer of extraordinary success with significant economic impact and remarkable results in a non-space sector - and maybe also beneficial to our environment or improving our quality of life on Earth.

The winner will receive the Space Spin-off Award statuette together with a prize of €10.000, and will be honoured by entering together with their technology in ESA’s Space Technology Hall of Fame.

    Award 2009

The award is targeted to all individuals, companies and institutions which have been involved as a donor and/or receiver in a space technology transfer with remarkable success.

ESA is calling for nominations from individuals, established space and non-space enterprises, start-up companies, and research and science institutions.

    Nominate a technology

To nominate a transfer, please use the Nomination Form and include the following information:

    • details of nominated applicant(s) and/or company,
    • space technology transfer data sheet describing the space origin, non-space product, technical innovativeness, unique features compared to existing solutions,
    • technological benefits of the new product,
    • economic benefits,
    • satisfaction of environmental and/or needs in society.

A panel of experts from ESA and ESA’s Technology Transfer Network will screen the nominations submitted and will choose the final prize winner.

The winner will be honoured in the Space Spin-off Award Ceremony on the occasion of ESA’s participation to the Hanover Trade Fair 2010.

We look forward to receiving your nominations!
