From its inception in 1989, the European Centre for Space Law (ECSL) has always relied on the active participation of its Members to promote space law and to carry out its different initiatives.
The ECSL organizes and supports a considerable number of activities, and provides various services.
The Centre organizes the Summer Course on Space Law and Policy, the Practitioner’s Forum; the European Preliminaries of the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Competition; Workshops and Legal Colloquia, such as the IISL-ECSL annual Symposium at the COPUOS Legal Sub-Committee in Vienna.
The Centre provides also services, such as the publication of the ECSL News Bulletin, the Acts of Workshops and the Proceedings of Summer Courses, and the management of the ECSL Library.
As a matter of policy, it is understood that the publications and the other information on the ECSL activities will be distributed only to members.
The membership includes also the payment of the annual fees, which gives access to a great deal of information on the ECSL activities and to the ECSL network. Indeed, this action is a demonstration of your interest in belonging to the ECSL family and in the promotion of Space Law in Europe. For the ECSL it is therefore an important sign of your support.
The members of the ECSL Board and the National Points of Contacts (NPOCs) continue to promote the ECSL Membership and to provide information on the ECSL activities.
Students who attended the ECSL Summer Course the past year get a one-year inscription for free automatically.
