Herschel & Planck at Centralstation
 
18 November 2009   As part of the city's Science Days, ESA experts will present the Herschel and Planck missions to the public at Darmstadt's Centralstation, Monday, 23 November, 18:00. ESA Flight Director Andreas Rudolph and Herschel Spacecraft Operations Manager Micha Schmidt will present the latest results from the two sophisticated space telescopes, launched in May 2009 (German-language event). REPLAY: ESA TV SMOS & Proba-2 launch coverage
 
Watch a looping replay of ESA TV's 2 November SMOS and Proba-2 launch coverage from Plestsk Cosmodrome, Redu station (Proba-2 control centre) and Toulouse (SMOS control centre). The satellites were launched at 01:50 UTC (02:50 CET) atop a Rockot launch vehicle.

Follow Rosetta’s final Earth boost
 
4 November 2009   ESA’s comet chaser Rosetta will swing by Earth for the last time on 13 November to pick up energy and begin the final leg of its 10-year journey to comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. ESA’s European Space Operations Centre will host a media briefing on that day.
