Venus Express Mock-up
The Venus Express mock-up, a satellite with 6 inner cavities, is a testing environment that has been built and used to test wireless technologies.
This mock-up has been used to characterize and test the propagation of RF signals with IEEE 802.15.4 (2.4GHz) devices. We are now characterizing the behavior of WiMedia ultra-wideband devices (500MHz bandwidth per channel with center frequencies between 3 and 10GHz). Moreover, in 2011, a channel sounding was performed between 1 and 11GHz. The data is available upon request.
