ESA Multimedia Gallery – Help
Welcome to the ESA Portal Multimedia Gallery! This area of our website allows you to search through all the multimedia material available here on the ESA Portal.
Getting started
- To browse through the available media, the menu on the left of the screen offers access to key media available.
- Alternatively, use the search box.
Type a keyword and start the search. Each file stored in the Multimedia Gallery also has a unique ID number. If you already know the ID number of a particular file, you can pinpoint your search to a specific file.
Alternatively you can even select a topic from the list we prepared. The list includes easy terms which allow you to search all the areas of the work carried out here at ESA.
Remember that the search engine will search any media type.
More advanced searches
For more specific topics, simply select “advanced search”.
From this screen, you can search according to Collection and then to the related Mission.
Once you have selected a collection/mission you can type a keyword to restrict your search. Alternatively you can just type a keyword directly, ignoring to the collection/mission options.
Finally you can choose the media you are interested in. You can select one or all the types.
Didn't find any results?
If your search did not return any results, but you feel sure that there must be files matching your criteria within the Gallery, here are some troubleshooting tips:
- Check that any terms you typed were correctly spelt (the gallery is case-insensitive, which means that search results do not depend on whether the search text was written in capitals or lower-case).
- If you searched by keyword, try browsing through the list of topics and sub-topics instead.
