A gas cloud is tracked travelling towards the Sun. These are special images that reveal motion, generated from the difference between normal images obtained a little earlier and a little later than the times shown. The Sun is diagrammed to scale, but the featureless area around it shows the extent of a mask blocking all direct sunlight.
