September/October 27/9 - 1/10 International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2010, Prague, Czech Republic. 21 Space Exploration conference, Brussels, Belgium. November 5/11 GEO (Group on Earth Observations) ministerial summit 2010, Beijing, China. tbc Launch of second Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) Johannes Kepler, Europe's Spaceport (CSG), French Guiana. 24 Space Council, Brussels, Belgium. tbc Launch of first two Galileo IOV satellites by Soyuz from Europe's Spaceport (CSG), French Guiana December 13/12 Soyuz launch with Paolo Nespoli on ESA's third long-duration mission to the ISS, Baikonur, Kazakhstan. tbd Inaugural launch and maiden flight of ESA’s new small launcher Vega, from Europe's Spaceport (CSG), French Guiana. tbd Planck Early-Release Compact Source Catalogue (ERCSC), ESA/ESAC, Spain. The dates of certain events, notably launches, depend on various factors such as payload and and/or launcher readiness. In the above calendar of activities, they remain tabled as 'to be determined' (tbd) or 'to be confirmed' (tbc). Definite launch dates are confirmed by Arianespace (for Ariane), Starsem (for Soyuz) and NASA (for Shuttle).
