AATSR-derived image of Sea Surface Temperature around Crete, 31 August 2003. The brighter the colour the higher the temperature: the (bright red) maximum reading is 25 degrees C, the (greenish) minimum is under 22 degrees C. Black areas are either land or cloud cover.
