More autonomy for blind people thanks to satellite navigation   ONCE (Organización Nacional de Ciegos Españoles), the National Organization of Spanish Blind people has developed a system based on GPS to guide blind people. The system called “Tormes” is a computer with a Braille keyboard and satellite navigation technology that gives verbal directions.   An ESA project is using Egnos and Sisnet navigation technologies in a personal navigator for blind people developed by GMV Sistemas, Spain and ONCE, a Spanish organisation for the blind.   ONCE (Organización Nacional de Ciegos Españoles), the National Organization of Spanish Blind people has developed a system based on GPS to guide blind people.
