Proba's High Resolution Camera (HRC) acquired this image of Liberty Island and Ellis Island in the New York Harbour from 600 kilometres above the Earth’s surface on 1 August 2006. Liberty State Park is located to the left of Liberty and Ellis, and New Jersey is located at the top left. Manhattan is seen at the top right, and Governor’s Island is seen at the bottom right.
