Casablanca oil rig near Barcelona, Spain
The 'Casablanca' oil drilling platform, owned by the oil company REPSOL is located close to Barcelona, Spain. It was used in 1999 and 2000 to house a set of instruments to measure sea surface salinity and several other sea and atmospheric characteristics as part of the WISE campaign. The campaign supports the Earth Explorer mission SMOS (Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity).
