This Envisat image shows Ubari and Murzuq sand dune seas in the Fezzan region of southwestern Libya, close to the border with Algeria. Envisat's Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MERIS), working in Full Resolution mode to provide a spatial resolution of 300 metres, acquired this image on 24 November 2004.
