Training development
The Instructional Development Process
The development of astronaut training follows the Instructional Development Process (IDP), a system used to plan, design, develop and evaluate training. It is a system-engineering approach to training development which is systematic, objective-oriented and incorporates validation and feedback. The information in the following pages is based on the NASA Instructional Development Process.
