23 April 2009   Following an anomaly that occurred on 8 March this year, COROT has resumed scientific observations at the beginning of April.

COROT discovers smallest exoplanet yet, with a surface to walk on
 
3 February 2009   COROT has found the smallest terrestrial planet ever detected outside the Solar System. The amazing planet is less than twice the size of Earth and orbits a Sun-like star. Its temperature is so high that it is possibly covered in lava or water vapour.

COROT directly sees ‘Sun-quakes’ in other stars for the first time
 
23 October 2008   Sounding the Sun through a technique similar to seismology has opened a new era for understanding the Sun’s interior. The COROT satellite has now applied this technique to three stars, directly probing the interiors of stars beyond the Sun for the first time.
