Satellites in orbit 3 September 2001
A new interactive website from ESA Science displays the orbits of all the Agency's operational scientific satellites. You can choose from one of several views:
- the Earth view displays all near-Earth ESA scientific satellites orbiting the planet.- Hubble, XMM-Newton and the four Cluster satellites;
-
the Solar System view shows the current location of ESA's other scientific satellites and space probes, including Cassini-Huygens and Ulysses.
With each of these views you can choose to follow the satellites in real-time or to watch how their orbits vary over the years.
By selecting the Satellite Info option you can access factsheets and interactive 3-D models of each of the satellites featured in this tool.
