The world seen by Envisat 's MERIS

Envisat's Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MERIS) returns data on land cover as well as ocean colour. MERIS surface imagery has been mapped onto to the land area of this globe, from the white of Arctic snows to the bleached-out yellow of the Sahara.
