Turbidity index for French Mediterranean waters

A merge of MERIS, MODIS and SeaWIFS data over an extended period enables the derivation of monthly, seasonal and annual variations in turbidity. This is one of the parameters that may be measured for coastal waters under the Water Framework Directive.
