Hera scans Dimorphos with its laser altimeter

Using its laser altimeter Hera scans Dimorphos's surface. ESA’s Hera mission is humankind’s first mission to survey a binary asteroid system, following on from the NASA DART spacecraft's impact: the 780 m-diameter Didymos asteroid is accompanied by the 160 m-diameter secondary body Dimorphos.
