Limitless – emotional – communication – collaboration
Space is a vast and bare landscape without any territorial borders, which is how Earth was once shaped as well. I.E.U. brings this idea back to the centre of discussion of on-going crisis by combining scientific facts with emotional expression in the form of fashion.
Mission
I.E.U. gives people the possibility to communicate more directly with their surroundings through wearable garments. Combining smart textiles, we wish to start a discussion about the inequality humanity is facing today. Seeing Earth from space, we are - in the end - only one big unit.
Place
The bare ground and complicated history of Berlin is the base for I.E.U. The city is known for people’s creativity and for giving grey, forgotten spaces new life in form of cafés, galleries, clubs and public spaces. The shapes of I.E.U. clothing derive from the square shape of a Berlin paving stone.
