Thales Alenia Space Senior Vice President of Sales Martin van Schaik (left) and ESA Director of Navigation Paul Verhoef (right) signing a new Galileo framework contract and two new work orders with on Wednesday 17 October 2018 at ESA’s ESTEC technical centre in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. The contract covers an upgrade of the Galileo Mission Segment – that element of the worldwide Galileo ground segment dedicated to delivering navigation services – and the Galileo Security Monitoring Centre (GSMC) near Paris, as well as to implement a second GSMC in Spain.
