Embedded thermal functions in structural parts using 3D printing

Several ESA missions use technology, such as focal planes, which would benefit from a lower mass but higher performance. As would many terrestrial applications, such as heat exchangers for mechanical pumped loops.

A recently closed activity with GSTP Element 1 and Airbus, France, has developed embedded thermal functions in structural parts using 3D printing.
