ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti’s second mission to the International Space Station is called Minerva. Inspired by the Roman mythology, the name is a homage to the competence and sophisticated craftmanship of the men and women all over the world who make human spaceflight possible. During Minerva, Samantha will support science and operations in orbit to advance our knowledge on Earth and propel humankind farther into space.
