Italy by night

The first glow of dawn in the distance during a night flight over Italy. This image was captured by ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti in 2015 during her Italian Space Agency ASI-sponsored Futura mission aboard the International Space Station. In 2022 Samantha will return to the orbital outpost for ESA mission, Minerva.

Nel 2022, Samantha ritornerà sull'avamposto orbitante per la missione dell'ESA Minerva.
