The European Space Agency, the European Commission and Promus Ventures signed a joint declaration to launch the first European space-oriented index on 24 January 2023. The Euronext Space Index was officially launched by Euronext on the same day. Attending the signature were Joseph Aschbacher, ESA Director General, Timo Pesonen, Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space for the European Commission, Stéphane Boujnah, CEO at Euronext, Pierre Festal, Partner at Promus Ventures, representing Orbital Ventures.
