Massimo Bandecchi and students during CDF session

Massimo Bandecchi, Former ESA Concurrent Design Facility Manager, guided students through designing their own space mission at the ‘CanSat - Space Engineer for a Day’ event. The event took place at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) on 17 and 18 June 2024.

The students worked collaboratively on all the aspects of their mission at the same time, trying out an engineering approach routinely used by space engineers at ESA in the concurrent design facility.
