Distribution of ESA's Cyber Security Operations Centre

ESA's Cyber Security Operations Centre is distributed across three of the Agency's European sites.

ESA-ESOC: European Space Operations Centre
Located in Darmstadt, Germany, it's Europe's centre of excellence for satellite operations. The centre hosts the Cyber Security Operations Centre (C-SOC) providing cyber resilience capability for ESA's space and ground segment services. Cyber Security Operations are carried out in synergy with ESOC's Network Operations Centre to provide an immediate response in the event of security incidents related to space and ground services.

ESA-ESEC: European Space Security and Education Centre
Located in Redu, Belgium, ESEC operates ESA's Security Cyber Centre of Excellence (SCCOE) and the Cyber Security Operations Centre (C-SOC) with a focus on protecting corporate functions. Cyber Security Operations are carried out in synergy with ESA's IT Department and corporate services to ensure rapid and effective response in the event of security incidents related to corporate services.

ESA-ESRIN: European Space Research Institute
Located near Rome, Italy, ESRIN is home to the ESA Security Office (ESO) and to ESA's Computer Emergency Response Team (ESACERT). ESACERT is an important partner for C-SOC operations, collaborating with other CERTs and providing ESA-wide expert support to security incident management, response and reporting.
