Minister Peter Hanke at ESA's Living Planet Symposium

Austria’s Federal Minister for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure, Peter Hanke, received a tour of the symposium venue with ESA’s DG Josef Aschbacher and ESA’s Head of Earth Observation Programmes, Simonetta Cheli.

ESA’s Living Planet Symposium, one of the world’s leading Earth observation conferences, took place in Vienna, 23–27 June 2025. More than 6500 participants from almost 120 countries attended the event. With more than 4200 scientific presentations and posters, the symposium provided a forum and meeting point for scientists, academics and space industry representatives, as well as students and citizens.
