Outlook for ESA's Earth Observation programmes

One of the plenary sessions at ESA’s Living Planet Symposium focused on the outlook for ESA's Earth Observation programmes, looking forward to ESA’s Ministerial Council meeting in November 2025.

The symposium, one of the world’s leading Earth observation conferences, took place in Vienna, 23–27 June 2025. More than 6500 participants from almost 120 countries attended the event. With more than 4200 scientific presentations and posters, the symposium provided a forum and meeting point for scientists, academics and space industry representatives, as well as students and citizens.
