Mr Trepte is a practicing barrister with Littleton Chambers in London and of Counsel to Grayton & Company in Brussels, with law degrees from the UK and France and a doctorate from the Netherlands.
He is also a Senior Fellow in Public Procurement Law at the University of Nottingham, Head of the Corruption and Public Procurement Unit and Deputy Director of the Public Procurement Research Group.
Mr Trepte advises and represents public and private sector clients on issues of EC procurement rules as well as on the application of the WTO Agreement on Government Procurement and the effect on the procurement rules of the EC preferential trade arrangements. He has a wide international experience of drafting national laws and implementing rules and regulations in the field of public procurement. He was a member of the PRB in 2016-2019 and in 2019-2022 when he was also Chairperson. Currently a member of the PRB from 2025 to 2028.
