MetOp-SG-A1 and Sentinel-5 arriving at the launch pad

In preparation for liftoff on 13 August 2025 (12 August Kourou time), the team at Europe’s Spaceport has taken the Ariane 6 fairing holding MetOp-SG-A1 and Sentinel-5 to the launch pad.

MetOp-SG-A1 is Europe’s first MetOp Second Generation weather satellite and hosts the first Copernicus Sentinel-5 spectrometer as part of its instrument package.
