Argonaut family grows in LUNA

The Argonaut lunar lander family is getting bigger.

Leadership from the industrial core team building the Argonaut Lunar Decent Element gathered on 20 November 2025 at ESA's European Astronaut Centre in Cologne, Germany, in the LUNA analogue facility:

• Daniel Neuenschwander, Director of Human and Robotic Exploration, ESA
• Giampiero di Paolo, Senior Vice President Observation, Exploration and Navigation Domain & CEO of Thales Alenia Space Italy
• Chiara Pedersoli, CEO OHB System AG
• Yvan Baillion, Director of European Business at Thales Alenia Space France
• Richard Thorburn, CEO of Thales Alenia Space UK
• Rob Selby, Vice President of Nammo Space

They were joined by astronauts Alexander Gerst and Matthias Maurer from ESA's class of 2009.
